At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify opportunities for collaboration between psychiatry and behaviour analysis across translational, methodological, and clinical pathways in the context of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities engaging in challenging behaviour.
2. Describe how direct assessment (e.g., functional analysis) and corresponding analytic (e.g., bi-directional log survivor plot) approaches can support a comprehensive understanding of challenging behaviour patterns across clinically indicated psychotropic medication changes.
3. Apply featured concepts to inform clinical decision-making for this population.
