Describe the psychological and cognitive effects of starvation in young people. 2. Use case examples to illustrate various clinical reasons why children and adolescents might be under-nourished, and to learn to recognize malnutrition when it presents as mental illness. 3. Approach and manage malnutrition in youth who present with psychiatric symptoms.
