- Review considerations for prescribing and deprescribing medications in patients receiving dialysis
- Counsel dialysis patients on advance care planning, goals-of-care discussions, and quality-of-life considerations

Dialysis: What Do You Need To Know About Co-Management?

Biography

Dr. Pierre Antoine Brown graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa and completed residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Nephrology, both at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital.

He then completed a Master’s in Science in Medical Informatics, from Northwestern University. He also completed the “Improving Quality and Patient Safety: The Physician Leadership Program” offered by the Telfer School of Management.

His clinical interests include hemodialysis, home dialysis, renal genetics and Polycystic Kidney Diseases (PCKD). He is the Medical Director for The Ottawa Hospital’s Hemodialysis program.
