If you will be travelling form outside Canada, please ensure you are familiar with the requirements for entering into the country.

It is the delegates responsibility have the correct documentation to travel to the Conference.

US passport holders & green card holders
do not need to apply for electronic travel authorization (eTA).
Click here for details Entry requirements for US Passport Holders

Travellers with passports from EU countries, UK, Japan, South Korea, Australia,
need eTA to board their flight to Canada.
Click here for list of countries who are Visa-exempt (eTA eligible) travellers

To apply for eTA, please click here.
We strongly recommend an eTA application is made through the Government of Canada website rather than through third party websites.
eTA application on the Government of Canada website is quick (typically within a day), straightforward and costs only CAD 7.
eTA application through third party websites can be slower and significantly more costly.

Visa-required travellers must apply for a visa to come to Canada by any method of travel.
Click here for list of countries who are Visa-required travellers

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) strongly recommends that all delegates needing a visa should apply for their visa at least 12 weeks in advance of their departure date to ensure that they receive it in time to travel to the event. The processing time for visa application varies significantly from one country to another.

Please note that the conference has no leverage over IRCC in matters related to visa processing.

The conference will provide on request a letter of support to delegates needing a visa however we ask that the delegate registers first with the conference.
Please reach out to cpd@uottawa.ca once you have registered to obtain your letter.

Information about delegates applying for a visa IRCC may be shared with IRCC for the purpose of identifying and coordinating the processing of visa applications.
