Ground Transportation Options from the Ottawa Airport
Located just a 20-minute drive from downtown Ottawa, the state-of-the art Ottawa International Airport serves airlines offering flights to most major cities in Canada, the United States and Europe with seasonal services to the Caribbean and South America. It offers more than 110 daily non-stop flights to more than 40 domestic and international destinations.
When you arrive at Ottawa Airport, taxis, car services and car rentals are located just steps outside the airport. Public transit to downtown Ottawa is also available with OC Transpo bus route 97 (operating between the airport and Hurdman), and O-Train from Hurdman (Westbound for Tunney’s Pasture, stopping at UOttawa for the uOttawa Residence, and Rideau for Shaw Centre and the Westin & Lord Elgin hotels). Regrettably the O-Train will be partially out of service for maintenance on Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th. A replacement bus service (R1) will operate from Hurdman bound for Tunney’s Pasture, stopping at UOttawa & Rideau.

Public transportation
OC Transpo is the public transit provider in Ottawa. Bus Route 97 serves the airport using low-floor, fully accessible buses that can accommodate mobility devices. Transit fares can be purchased from the ticket machine located on Level 1, or paid in cash ($3.85) on board the bus, or tap with a VISA or PRESTO card on entering the bus. OC Transpo also operates Para Transpo, a door-to-door transportation service for people with disabilities. Advanced registration is required for Para Transpo.
