Session Details
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
-Apply clinical reasoning to determine when a knee injection is indicated based on patient history, physical exam findings, and imaging within a case scenario.
-Select the most appropriate injection type and medication (e.g., corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid, biologics) based on the underlying knee pathology presented in the case.
- Describe key anatomical landmarks and safe techniques for performing common knee injections, including considerations for landmark-guided versus ultrasound-guided approaches.
- Recognize potential complications, contraindications, and post-procedure management, and incorporate these into patient counselling and shared decision-making during case discussions.
