Session Details

This session focuses on no cost fixed, mobile and virtual Harm Reduction programs, services and resources, including Ottawa based available drug checking services through community partners and OPH. Participants will learn about how and where to refer their patients who use substances to life saving services. Session Objectives include: 1. Increased understanding of Harm Reduction programs, services and resources in Ottawa and the surrounding region 2. Increased knowledge of referral pathways to low barrier mobile Harm Reduction services and Ottawa based available drug checking services, 3. Tools and resources for primary care providers to be able to refer their patients who use substances to life saving services, including fixed and digital solutions. (Naloxone work and role, partners and outreach, Rapid Access Addiction Medicine, Party Safer and Overdose Prevention courses and capacity building Stigma training).
