Course Description
The University of Ottawa, Office of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is proud to present this 1-day course designed to provide family physicians and other primary health care professionals with relevant and up-to-date information about management of chronic pain. This conference will also allow participants to virtually network through plenary sessions and an online meeting hub. Our cutting-edge virtual conferencing platform captures all the benefits of an in-person conference experience, but allows us all to conveniently participate online. Plus, sessions will be recorded and participants will have access to this content for one year.

Overall Learning Objectives

By the end of this conference, participants will be able to:

  1. Select appropriate management option for patients with chronic pain;
  2. Implement effective communication strategies to engage with patients with chronic pain;
  3. Identify community resources for the support of patients with chronic pain.

 

Accreditation

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development. You may claim a maximum of 4.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated)

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development for up to 4.5 Mainpro+ credits.

 

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. More information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds less $75 administrative charge will be issued to cancellations receive in writing by January 23, 2024. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after that date. All refunds will be processed after the event.
