Biography
Dawson is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, within the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Carleton University in 2020, followed by a Master’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Ottawa in 2022. His research focuses on the interplay between the gut microbiota and mental health, using both clinical and preclinical models to explore microbiome-gut-brain interactions.
