By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the impact rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and lupus have on cardio-vascular health and determine cardiovascular risk in patients with rheumatic diseases
2. List and implement immunization recommendations for patients with rheumatic dis-eases on immunosuppressive therapies
3. Identify patients with rheumatic diseases who are at higher risk of osteoporosis and outline screening and treatment recommendations
4. Describe how rheumatic diseases affect malignancy risk and the implications for cancer screening
5. Recognize how depression affects treatment outcomes in patients with inflammatory arthritis
6. Outline routine monitoring for patients taking conventional and biologic DMARD ther-apies
7. Recognize possible adverse effects of conventional and biologic DMARD therapies that may arise in the primary care setting and how these may be mitigated.
