By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Recognize clinical features of SLE • Recognize clinical features of Sjogren’s syndrome
2. Order and interpret an initial work-up for a patient with suspected SLE
3. Order and interpret an initial work-up for a patient with suspected Sjogren’s syndrome
4. Interpret a positive ANA (titer, pattern) in the context of a patient’s presentation
5. Identify when it is and is not appropriate to order ANA testing
6. Outline management strategies for Sjogren’s syndrome that may be implemented in the primary care setting
