COURSE DESCRIPTION

First Annual Ottawa Regional SIMposium - a gathering of health professions simulation aficionados from across the region and all specialties/disciplines. 

 

OVERALL LEARNING OBJECTIVES 

Participants in the inaugural Ottawa Regional SIMposium will: 

1. Facilitate Interprofessional Engagement: the conference will provide a platform for healthcare simulationists in Ottawa to explore simulation's role in healthcare system design, clinical space testing, and program evaluation, fostering collaborative approaches to address systemic challenges and enhance patient care delivery.

2. Promote Continuous Learning: the conference will offer a platform for ongoing professional development by introducing innovative simulation modalities, evidence-based practices, and interdisciplinary perspectives, empowering healthcare simulationsists in Ottawa to stay abreast of advancements in healthcare education and practice.

3. Cultivate Implementation Strategies: the conference will showcase diverse implementation models for simulation centers, enabling attendees to gain insights into best practices and innovative approaches for integrating simulation-based education into their respective healthcare environments in Ottawa.
