Session Details
By the end of this session participants will be able to:
- Describe how social determinants of health (including socioeconomic status, education, language, access to care, and geography) influence stroke awareness, risk recognition, and timely access to emergency services.
- Recognize disparities in stroke symptom awareness and response across diverse populations and identify groups at higher risk of delayed presentation and poorer outcomes.
- Apply equity informed stroke awareness strategies that address social and structural barriers, supporting timely recognition of stroke symptoms and activation of emergency response systems.
