Brief Description:

Academic review, is a process that evaluates and examines the academic contributions and future direction of our faculty members.

 

Overall learning objectives:

• Academic review: roles of the department chairs and division heads
• Define expectation of academic review by the faculty members
• Goal setting for academic work for faculty members
• Preparation for academic promotion
• Techniques for giving feedback and providing support for faculty members.

 
Accreditation:
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 2 hours. This program has been reviewed and approved by the University of Ottawa, Office of Continuing Professional Development.  This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development for up to 2 Mainpro+ credits.
