The Ottawa Hospital and IQ@TOH are proud to present the 2021 Patient Safety Conference on the afternoon of October 28 & 29. The conference is an opportunity to share and learn about relevant practices to improve the quality and safety of care. This year’s theme is Safer Healthcare in a Post Pandemic World.
Our speakers will include prominent leaders in the field of patient safety, technology, education and innovation. Audience members will hear from keynote speakers as well as a panel of experts. The conference is open to health care professionals, managers, administrators and academics. This forum will provide both presenters and registrants with a valuable opportunity to share innovative practices from diverse perspectives.
Overall Learning Objectives:
Anyone with an interest in learning more about patient and staff safety and quality of care, with a focus on how education can improve patient safety, is welcome to attend. This includes: physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, engineers, students, educators, quality improvement professionals, researchers, administrators, policy makers and more.
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development. You may claim a maximum of 6.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated).
This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development for up to 6.5 Mainpro+ credits.
