Course Description:
Foundations of Leadership is a series of 5 workshops aimed at providing clinicians and non-clinicians with tools to successfully lead and manage teams.
Participants will develop an understanding and skills of how to:
· Lead a process rather than manage it
· Manage various types of team members effectively and deal with conflict
· Get the most out of team members and keep them motivated
· Introduce and manage change
Participants will also be apprised of legal implications and emerging trends as it relates to managing team members. Completion of the program will be acknowledged by a certificate in leadership from the Office of Continuing Professional Development.
Please note that a minimum of 12 participants (max. 18) is required in order for the series to move ahead.
