NOTE: We are hoping to offer this series in person in winter 2022, but if Covid regulations do not permit in person, we will move ahead virtually.
Target Audience: All faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine who have completed Phase 1 at least 12 months ago
**Pre-requisite: Essentials in Academic Leadership (Phase I)

Course Description:
Essentials for Academic Leadership Phase 2 is a series of 5 workshops aimed at providing clinicians and non-clinicians with tools to successfully lead and manage teams.
Participants will develop an understanding and skills of how to:
· Build skills to enhance their development as a leader
· Mentor and provide feedback successfully
· Lead and influence people through the 5 dimensions of Emotional Intelligence
Completion of the program will be acknowledged by a certificate in leadership from the Office of Continuing Professional Development.
Please note that a minimum of 12 participants (max. 16) is required in order for the series to move ahead. Deadline to register is January 5, 2022.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 26.75 hours. This program has been reviewed and approved by the University of Ottawa, Office of Continuing Professional Development. This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development for up to 26.75 Mainpro+ credits.
