“Rubbing Me the Wrong Way” – Contemporary Management of Patients with Recurrent Pericarditis
Biography
Kevin Boczar, MD is a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) and an assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Boczar specializes in advanced multi-modality cardiac imaging. Having completed his residency training in Ottawa where he served as chief resident, Dr. Boczar then completed his cardiology fellowship at the UOHI. He pursued an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the UOHI and an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He is trained in echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear cardiology. He is completing his doctorate degree in clinical epidemiology. Dr. Boczar’s clinical and research interests centre on detecting and treating inflammation to mitigate its effect on the cardiovascular system. He is the director of the Pericardial Clinic at the UOHI.
