Learning Objectives
- Describe the core basic science concepts related to soft tissue pathology, proximal humeral fractures, and shoulder arthritis that are necessary for sound clinical decision making related to this pathology.
- Demonstrate an approach to shoulder instability and the spectrum of disease it encompasses from soft tissue lesions to bone loss.
- Demonstrate an approach to rotator cuff disease and the spectrum of disease it encompasses from cuff tendonitis to massive, irreparable tears.
- Describe the expected clinical outcomes, limitations, and possible complications related to the surgical treatment of osteoarthritis of the shoulder.
- Review surgical approaches to the elbow and current concepts on the treatment of elbow fracture dislocations and soft tissue injuries
