Bio: Anand Sahai MD MSc (Epid) FRCPC

Dr Anand Sahai was born in India but raised in Montreal. He completed his gastroenterology, a year of ERCP and a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology at the University of Montreal.
In 1996, he was awarded the American Society for Gastroenterology (ASGE)/Olympus Advanced Endoscopic Training Award and trained in endoscopic ultrasound at The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) under the supervision of Drs Robert Hawes and Peter Cotton.
In 1999, he returned to CHUM, where their EUS unit is currently one of the busiest in the world. They have performed more than 60000 cases since 1999, and have trained more than 700 endosonographers, from all 5 continents.
Dr Sahai has been a member of numerous ASGE committees, and the Editorial boards of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Evidence Based Gastroenterology. His list of publications include more than 150 papers, book chapters, and instructional EUS videos.
