Dr. Roberto Trasolini is a therapeutic endoscopist and Director of Endoscopy at Vancouver General Hospital. He completed his medical school, Internal Medicine, as well Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He completed two Advanced Endoscopy fellowships at Harvard Medical School: Advanced endoscopy at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, as well as advanced endoscopy and bariatric endoscopy/foregut endo-surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He has a special interest in surgery sparing applications of endoscopy. He performed the first endoscopic suturing procedure in Canada and has authored multiple publications in the field of advanced endoscopy including in bariatric endoscopy and interventional EUS. He is a clinical assistant professor at the University of British Columbia and trains advanced fellows as part of the UBC Advanced Endoscopy fellowship as well as Adult Gastroenterology Fellows.
