The National Gallery of Canada is delighted to collaborate with Creating Space 16, to deliver a Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) workshop for conference participants. The workshop will be facilitated by: Dr. Wendy Stewart MD,MMEd,PhD,FRCPC (Professor of Paediatrics and CPDME, Assistant Dean Preclerkship, Director of Faculty Development and Director of Humanities at DMNB) Dr. Alan Ng (Associate Professor, Director of Behavioural Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa) Ms. Andrea Gumpert (Educator, Wellbeing Programs, Community Engagement, National Gallery of Canada). VTS is a well-established educational approach that cultivates careful observation, reflective dialogue, and perspective-taking, and has demonstrated significant value in health professions and medical education—particularly in fostering empathy, patient-centred care and provider wellbeing. Learning Objectives: Use Visual Thinking Strategies to enhance observation, reflection, and perspective-taking skills. Identify ways to apply VTS in health professions education and practice to promote empathy, patient-centred care, and professional wellbeing. $15 for CAHH members $30 for non-members
