The First Annual Ottawa Planetary Health Conference invites abstracts highlighting practical approaches to advancing planetary health and sustainability in healthcare. We welcome completed projects, projects in progress, and early-stage ideas seeking feedback, collaborators, or support. Submissions may address clinical care, quality improvement, research, education, waste reduction, procurement, advocacy, or other opportunities to improve the environmental sustainability of healthcare while supporting patient and community health. Top-ranked abstracts will be selected for the podium/pitch session, with additional selected submissions presented as posters. Projects at every stage will be considered, with review tailored to their stage of development.

Abstract Guidelines
Submit an abstract of up to 300 words, excluding the title, author names, and affiliations. Identify your submission as a completed project, project in progress, or pitch idea, and use the following headings:
- Background and aim: What problem or opportunity does your project address, and what do you hope to achieve?
- Approach: What did you do, what are you currently doing, or what do you propose to do? Describe the setting and relevant partners.
- Results or anticipated impact: Completed projects should report key findings. Projects in progress may include preliminary findings and planned evaluation. Pitch ideas should explain the expected benefits and how success would be measured.
- Next steps and relevance: What comes next, and how could others learn from or apply your work? For pitch ideas, identify the resources, expertise, or partnerships needed.
Include the presenting author’s contact information and indicate whether you wish to be considered for an oral presentation, poster, or either format. Disclose relevant funding and conflicts of interest.
Submissions will be assessed for relevance to planetary health, clarity, potential impact, feasibility, and opportunities for learning or wider application. Completed results are not required for projects in progress or pitch ideas.
