Day 1

By the end of the session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Define and contrast the roles of leader and manager; Prioritize team results and outcomes rather than focusing on process
  2. Describe the importance of managing performance; Use tools to manage team performance effectively
  3. Define "coaching" and what it involves; Use the coaching tool to maximize individual and team performance; List the pitfalls to avoid when coaching

  1. Describe the “model for developing people”; Lead team members to achieve their highest level of performance; Assist team members to become self-motivated and self-directed 
  2. Describe the characteristics of each generation; Discuss how to work with each generation effectively; Develop strategies to build a strong multigenerational work group 
  3. Describe the impact of avoiding conflict management; Discuss the “5 conflict mode”; Identify the participant’s dominant conflict mode; Manage conflict effectively

By the end of the session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Discuss how cognitive diversity can unlock your potential at an individual, team and organizational level; Recognize how our various cultures influence us; Describe why we behave and communicate the way we do 
  2. Define psychological safety and discuss its benefits in a medical setting; Recognize how to implement and sustain a psychological safe environment 
  3. Determine why you should strive for motivation and not just satisfaction; Describe the benefits of Motivation 3.0; Implement Motivation 3.0 
  4. Discuss how the 3 invisible forces (Cognitive Diversity; Psychological Safety and Motivational Drive) can make or break a team; Determine how to measure the 3 invisible forces and how to come up with a strategic plan to enhance them

  2. Describe the Continuous Improvement Model (CIM) and how to use it; Use the “Kolb” and CIM tools to achieve an optimum performance on your project/initiatives 
  3. Describe the four steps of change
