Is this an accredited course?

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development. You may claim a maximum of 39.50 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Is there a 2025 meeting app? 

Yes! From your smartphone, visit the App Store or Google Play to search for The Event App by EventsAir by Centium Software Pty Ltd. The event code will be provided in your welcome email which will be sent close to the course date. 

The meeting app features:

  • Course programming
  • Speaker and moderator details
  • Exhibitor list and industry information 
  • Access to participate in live polling and live Q&A
  • Access your Notepad (which is downloadable post-course)

Where do I pick up my badge?

All attendees can pick up their badges on the second floor of The Shaw Center just outside of the Ottawa Salon. Valid photo ID will be requested and is required.

Non-refundable Registration

Fees are non-refundable. HST tax 13% is applicable on all fees (subject to change). Only credit card payment is accepted. Payment must be received at the time of registration for confirmation of enrollment.

Is the course offered in person and in hybrid format?

After careful consideration, the course will be held in person at The Shaw Centre at 55 Colonel By Dr, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. There are three virtual components however:

  1. Mock OSCE exam via Brightspace
  2. Hotseat sessions Monday-Wednesday 7:00-9:00pm ET
  3. Mock Oral Exams taking place via Zoom on Friday, February 28, 2025

Is there an option to only sign up for the Optional Sessions (mock OSCE written exam, hotseat session, mock oral exam) Or must one sign up for the core plenary lectures from Sunday-Thursday as well?

No, access to register for virtual sessions is granted once you select a core plenary registration.

How will you record attendance? / How and when will we receive our certificate of participation?

In order to be eligible to receive your CME credits, you are required to attend lectures live in person. Those eligible will receive a certificate of completion a few weeks after the event.

Will the lectures be recorded for post event viewing?

Yes! If the speaker approves, all lectures will be recorded and available through the EventsAIR portal post-course. Simply use your same log in information, click the session you want to watch and press 'Play' in the top right corner. The lectures will be available for 3 months.

Will PDFs of the presentations be shared?

Yes! If the speaker approves, all PDF will be available through the EventsAIR portal post-course. Simply click the session you would like to watch, click 'Handouts' and download the PDF. The PDFs will be available for 3 months.

Error when processing payment (Troubleshooting)

If you experience a billing error during your payment, please check for special characters such as: . - # / ( ) * etc. in your contact or mailing details. These are not permitted.
