Frequently Asked Questions

Is this course optional or required ?

This course is optional. We created this course to support family physicians and specialists that have been asked to prepare a CPSO QI/QA practice improvement plan. The course is also aimed for those who would like to know more about QI and practice improvement, want to refresh previous training and/or want help accessing or identifying their practice data to help identify improvement opportunities. The course will provide tools to attain improvement goals.

How often do you have to repeat this course?

We recommend completing this course once, and you will continue to have access to the recordings and presentations for one year post completion. For more information in CPSO cycles click here.

Why are there limited spaces in each Cohort?

We have 50 spots per cohort to ensure that the breakout workshops are kept small when working with your facilitators.

What to do if your preferred Cohort is Sold out?

Once a cohort is full, you will be able to register for the waitlist for that session. If an opening becomes available, our office will contact you via email to complete your registration if you are not already registered for another cohort. If you ARE registered for another cohort, which is strongly suggested, we will simply transfer your registration and notify you that you have been accepted into your preferred cohort.

If I cannot make one of the sessions in a cohort, can I make it up at a later date?

We encourage registrants to ensure that they are available for the cohort dates as specified.  Skipping a session is discouraged and completing the program in another cohort will be considered on an individual basis depending on availability.  Otherwise, you may not be able to complete the course and receive your certificate.  (Note:  you will still be able to claim CPD credits for the time you have spent in the program,)
